Thinking of you ...

This is the last of my cards I have to share with you.

I'm cutting it really close this month for the DeNami Challenge ~ Sketch #12.  I combined this months sketch with the colors from Playing in Paradise Challenge #68.
I don't have any of the new DeNami stamps so I pulled out the G114 Christmas Rose and the TR16 All Occasion Sentiment stamps for my card.  The sentiment was embossed, and the rose was paper pieced.  The Lemondrop Twine was wrapped around the card and pulled thru a 1/8" Yellow Eyelet, and Cappuccino Twine was added to the button.

I'm also submitting this card for the Young Crafter's Unite flower challenge.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Other products used ... DeNami, A Muse Studio & Bazzill Cardstock, Memento Tuxedo Black, Inkssentials Watermark Resist Ink, Stampendous White Embossing Powder, Green Simplicity Button, Yellow Ribbon from May Arts, Making Memories Eyelet, Fiskars Scissors, WeR Memory Keepers Crop-a-Dile, 3D Foam Squares, Pop Up Glue Dots and my trusty ATG.

You're the Best!

Here's a card for the current CAS-ual Friday's Challenge #54 which is all about creating a masculine card with DP.
This sentiment perfectly described my hubby, and I thought it was appropriate for a masculine card. I paper pieced the shirt and tie using scraps  .... DP for the shirt ... blue for the tie ... white for the color.  The hubby used to have a shirt similar to this a long time ago.  I wonder if he'll remember?  The inside says "Happy Father's Day".  This is the card Katie will give her dad.

Here's a close-up of the shirt ...
I used white embossing powder for the sentiment.

I'm also submitting this card to Simon Says Stamps Father's Day Challenge.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Reach for the Stars ...

It's been quite around here this past week because I was baking, and putting together Teacher, Teacher Assistant's, and Bus Driver year end Thank you gifts for Katie.  Last day of school was Friday, and I was so happy to get back into my little corner to create "just for me" yesterday.

I have several cards to share with you today.  I managed to combine quite a few challenges. ;o)

My first card was designed using the current Freshly Made Sketch #36.
I used this lovely Sassy Studio Designs "Sandra's Graduation" that was given to SSD Fans for Free on Friday for the current Fabulous Freebie Friday Challenge at Paper Craft Planet.

Sandra was colored with Copic Markers, and fussy cut out.  Once all the cardstock and design paper was cut I stamped the Star, then put all the pieces together, and added some Clear Star Twinkle Stickers.  The sentiment is from some Graduation Stickers I purchased from Hobby Lobby when my son graduated college several years ago.

This card will go into my stash for next year when my niece graduates High School.

Here is the sketch provided ...

I'm also submitting this card for the following challenges ... SSD FF Challenge at PCP, Lily Pad Cards "Simon Says Stamps present a Star Challenge", and Paper Crafts Gallery Idol 2012 "Encouragement".

Until next time ... Enjoy!

I pulled out this Sassy French Maid, colored her with my Copic Markers, and fussy cut her out.  I then cut out an extra hat, the apron, and all of the bows and popped them up for a 3D effect.  Here is a side view of our French Maid.

As our young adults take the next step in their lives I honesty believe we, as a community, must encourage them to "Let Your Dreams Take Flight".

SSD May Release Blog Hop

Good morning my friends, and welcome to the Sassy Studio Designs May Release Blog Hop.  We have a variety of awesome new images to share with you today.

If you are following the hop you should have arrived from the incredibly talented Christy.  If you just arrived, you really need to start at the beginning of the Blog Hop here to see all of the awesome projects created by the rest of the Design Team.
Many of you may have already seen, and picked up, the "#1 Mom" Digital Stamp that Lindsay made available to our SSD Fans for FREE on Mother's Day.  If not, you can purchase her here.

I really love this image! She is Sassy and proud!  This card is for my Mother-in-Law's Birthday.  She turned 75 yesterday and I will give her the card when we take her out to dinner tonight for her birthday.

This month's Sassy Question is "What is your favorite flower, and why?".

My favorite flower is the Rose!  This picture was taken last June during my visit to the Portland Rose Garden.  I took lots of pictures, and love every single one of them.

Why?  First, my name means Rose in English.  Because of this my husband brings me Roses regularly throughout the year just because, and they are always Red.

I designed my card based on the current Cardabilities Sketch #55 as shown below.
What would a Blog Hop be without Prizes.  There are three (3) Sassy Studio Design Prizes up for grabs.  Make sure you comment on all of the Design Team Blog, and remember tell us your Favorite Flower over on the SSD Blog.

You have until Wednesday, May 23rd, to get your comments in.

Sassy Sneak Peak ...

Today I get to share a Sneak Peak of one of the new images being released by Sassy Studio Designs on Saturday, May 19th.  Lindsay created several new Graduation stamps. I went with the young man called The Graduate to create cards for two of my nephews.

This first card is for my nephew who is graduating from High School this year, and yellow & green are the colors of his cap & gown.
The second card is for my nephew that is graduating from Jr. High, and his school colors are Black & Purple.

Isn't The Graduate a cool guy! Perfect for creating cards for the young man in your life! I really love him, and had a blast creating these cards for my nephews.

Now make sure you head over to the Sassy Studio Designs Blog to see the Sneak Peak of the other Graduation images that the Design Team created, and remember to come back on Saturday for the Sassy Studio Designs Blog Hop Release Party, and then join us for a chat Saturday night.

Until next time ... Enjoy!
